South Park is one of Bethel Parks greatest assets. We need to expand the tail network throughout the community so that pedestrian access to this park and to the Montour trail are readily available. BP also needs to promote biking in the community....bike rental stations on the main street downtown, bike lanes, crosswalks, promote outdoor apparel type stores for mountain bikers that utilize the park and trails, enhance the grand entrance to the prize gem park we have at our fingertips. We have this great entrance to the South Park that is forgotten about....hidden away by a run down Get-Go gas station, a pizza building, and a couple crumbling dead end sidewalks. Better planning and better community connections. Focus on the park, the trails, walkability/biking, aesthetics and enhancing those things.

I don’t know if I would go as far as saying get go is run down. But I agree about the pizza shop that looks like at that intersection. The concrete sections of the road need attention on 88 all busted up. I think the vip in the park would be a great place for bethel to buy. Could rent bikes, have a mini golf, maybe an escape room. Now I’m not a biker and if I had a bike lane put in on my road I would be pissed. There is a whole park to take advantage of .it would be great to have a spot for the younger crowds to go to and hang out. Meaning younger beginner drivers. They could meet up in the parking lot of go have fun at mini golf or other things. When I was young you had a hang out spot now it seems kids are going out doing whatever they want and with the drugs anymore that’s not a good thing. Ok that’s the end of my rant.

I think you're over exaggerating the drug problem here, some kids do that stuff but not as many or as badly as you seem to believe. I also disagree with you on bike lanes, if they're added people will use them and help get more people out of their cars. The idea is for bikers to be able to bike from wherever as opposed to having to DRIVE somewhere to bike....that defeats the purpose of it. I'm happy they built the Montour Trail connector allowing people to bike from the trail directly to South Park, and would like to see that idea expanded upon throughout the rest of the park. Also respectfully disagree with Jerry about GetGo being run down, we have one of the nicer GetGo's around...especially compared to the other Bethel location on Fort Couch Road.
